Miro Magloire is a pianist, dancer, composer and choreographer. Born in Germany and of Haitian descent, he studied the piano from his early childhood on, and later studied musical composition with Prof. Mauricio Kagel. He moved to New York to study dance at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and the Martha Graham School, beginning his dance career as member of the Martha Graham Ensemble. He went on to study ballet with Peff Modelski and Wilhelm Burmann, and after performaing with several ballet companies across the country he turned to choreographing. In 2004, he founded the New Chamber Ballet (www.newchamberballet.com), of which he is the artistic director.
As an accompanist, Miro plays at Studio Maestro, American Ballet Theatre, the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at ABT, Steps Studios New York, and for visiting companies such as Julio Bocca's Ballet Argentino.
